The Advanced Telecoms Summit — the annual meeting point for the Greek telecoms and digital infrastructure market — is entering its final stretch.
At the centre this year: advanced telecoms infrastructure, subsea and terrestrial fibre-optic systems, data centres, enterprise networking, 5G and satellite communications.
The sector has not seen this density of developments in years — and almost all of them run through Greece.
In subsea, Medusa (8,700 km, 17 landing points) comes ashore at Tympaki, Crete and enters service for the Eastern Mediterranean within 2026, while 2Africa also lands in the country. In data centres, three of the four cloud hyperscalers — AWS, Google, Microsoft — are already investing here, with estimates for the decade reaching €50 billion. In fibre, the race peaks this year: Cosmote 3.1m lines, PPC 1.3m, Nova 1m, Vodafone 850k.
Greece, geostrategically placed at the crossroads of Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, is moving to the centre of these developments. These are precisely the topics that will be discussed on 29 September.
