Dear Madam/Sir,
The Franchise Summit & Expo is back — and it comes back stronger. This year the event is co-organised by Verticom and the Boussias group, the leading B2B communications group in Greece.
The aim is a single thing: that Greek franchising finally has one annual, institutional meeting point — where established chains meet their next partners and investors.
The event
Dates — 27 & 28 November 2026
Venue — Olympic Tae Kwon Do Arena, Faliro, Athens
Format — Conference & exhibition, over two days
Scale — 40+ speakers · 50 exhibitors · 500 delegates · 1,500 visitors
Sectors — Food service, retail, services, education
The paradox of the market
Retail is under pressure. According to the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen, in the first four months of 2026 41% of businesses reported lower sales than in 2025.
And yet franchise networks are accelerating. The Franchise Leaders Survey 2025–2026, with responses from 115 chains, shows that:
› 86.54% of their outlets run on a franchise model
› 2.83 new outlets opened per chain on average in 2025
› 3.13 is the target for 2026 — an increase, in a pressured market
Simple arithmetic: these 115 chains alone are planning roughly 360 new outlets during 2026. Every one of them starts with a meeting — with a prospective franchisee who has capital and is looking for a proven system.
The market says the same: Metro is committing €250–280 million for 2026–2029 with 150 new stores, most of them franchised, while networks such as Evergood have already reached 596 points of sale. The categories driving growth: coffee, food service, small-format retail, neighbourhood supermarkets, telecoms, personal care.
Why attend
Franchising is not bought from a catalogue. You need to see the concept, talk to the franchisor and get clear answers on three things: how much capital it takes, what support you get and how long until it pays back.
In two days, in one venue, you do all three — with dozens of systems side by side and the ability to compare.
