In August the European Commission approved Greece’s National Plan for the Social Climate Fund, worth €5.3 billion. These are not statements of intent — they are approved programmes with dates attached.

Social Leasing starts within 2026: an electric car for up to €150 per month, a subsidy of €12,500 per household, a budget of €170 million for 15,000 households. Alongside it, €68 million was approved for replacing taxis and €289 million for commercial vehicles in 2027 — including support for charger installation. On top of that, Greece secured €1.5 billion of additional fiscal space for 2026–2028 through the European escape clause for energy investment.

In plain terms: over the coming months, money is entering the Greek market for charging, storage, self-generation and electromobility — precisely the four pillars of this event.

The Electric Summit & Expo 2026 — the evolution of the Charging & Battery Summit & Expo — takes place on 27 and 28 November at the Olympic Tae Kwon Do Arena in Athens. Two days of conference, exhibition and B2B meetings.
